    Clean and light Great scent, great shine. Actually a little subtle on the scent, which is nice.Not too heavy of an oil, light feel, no residue or "greasy" feel. 5Highly recommended to tame your beard.....I've been growing my current beard for about 4 &1/2 months. I generally don't get past this point because the beard starts getting a bit too wild to tame at this length, so I end up shaving it off, regretting it, and starting the growth process again. I was a bit skeptical about beard oil in general, thinking of it as being some silly hipster nonsense, but I figured I'd order some anyway to see if it could help my beard from getting out of control. I've only been using it for 3 days, but it's already made a huge difference. I also ordered the beard balm from the same company, and the combination of the two has improved my beard's manageability tremendously already. The only slight downside is that the scent of the oil wears off in minutes. Initially, I would have thought of that as a good thing, because I wasn't looking for a scented oil, but the smell is so pleasant, I wish it stayed around for a while I will definitely be ordering again soon. It is not a heavy oil like some others (I'm looking at you BeardBuddy) and it holds up better and tames my thick beard nicely. It has a bunch of other essential oils in it - much more than their competitors! It truly smells like you're a manly mountain man who washes with pine and sandalwood but the scent is on the mild side. It goes on strong and then mellows within minutes. Hours later when you lean close to your lady friend she'll get lost in the amazing scent and be drawn to petting the soft luxurious thing that is your beard. When you walk by, lesser men will become jealous and many many people will ask you how you keep your beard awesome. You can proudly answer Mountaineer.Ladies, get this for your man. You won't find a better product for a better price. Men, get this for yourself. For like $12 you get 2 oz of amazing product that will make you look and smell awesome. 5I say .... try something else Absolutely useless.I ve had a beard for 20 plus years.I ve used it all. Was looking for something different, natural, and just curious.This absolutely had no benefit moisturizing whatsoever.Actually made my beard more dry within 12 hours.Essential oil smell was gone within an hour, tops.Not sure why they can t keep the essential oil smell lingering longer than a few hours?They need to go back to the drawing board. IMO. 1I would say that is a good thing, it would be awkward to walk around ...This is the first beard oil I have ever used. It does what it says. After the first application I was able to feel a difference in softness in my beard and was confirmed by my fiance. For me the beard ends are still fairly coarse but that is to be expected. The smell is very powerful when first applying but dispersing quickly. I showered, put the beard oil on and went right to my fiance's house and had to straight ask her if she smelled the oil and she had to stick her face in my beard to smell it. I would say that is a good thing, it would be awkward to walk around smelling like timber all the time.I recommend this product.4Great product and amazing price I've been bearded for almost 15 years now and have tried many beard oils. Most of them are very similar. They leave you with a similar feeling and differ largely in aroma and price. Especially price. And the higher price is no sign of better quality.I've pretty firmly settled on Mountaineer Brand WV Timber as My beard oil for the past 2 years or so. It's an amazing price per ounce and I love the aroma. It leaves my beard feeling nice and soft. I have since tried their beard wash and will likely try their body wash soon.They also have amazing customer service. I had a problem with the body wash and they promptly sent me a new bottle and a coupon for their website. 5TACOS!!!!!!!!!!!Ok, now let me start by saying I love tacos ALOT, I also like taco sauce ALOT. You may wonder where I am going with this, sit tight and ill get to it. When I read the description on how this product smells I was pretty excited about it, I mean it described how a real gentleman should smell, a little woodsy with a touch of day spa, you know to keep the ladies happy. When I received the product I was pretty excited so I hopped in the shower scrubbed up and threw some oil in my beautiful beard. As time went by I kept smelling something that was vaguely familiar, not bad just familiar. Then on the third day I got out of the shower oiled up, got dressed and went to kiss my wife goodbye for the day, to my surprise she asked "did you eat tacos for breakfast?" I was appalled everyone knows tacos are a noon and later food. She then proceeded to tell me how my beard smelled like tacos and that's when it struck me....TACO SAUCE!!!!!! That familiar smell wafting into my nose from my beard was new mountaineer beard oil, I smelled just like my favorite brand of taco sauce. So i did a little side by side comparison and I'll be damned if they didn't smell almost the exact same!Overall its a great product I would order it again, just in a different scent, it doesn't smell bad, it just makes me hungry all the time. If your lady or man likes tacos and you have a beard that needs some oil, this product is a must have!!!4My favorite beard oil so far and the only one with pine tar, but not exactly what I was hoping for. I've been in the market for a beard oil with pine tar for awhile now. Ever since I used a bar of "Granddad's Pine Tar Soap" I've been looking for a beard oil with that smokey scent. This is the first beard oil with Pine Tar I've seen, and while I couldn't smell it my wife said she could, and I've seen little dark droplets of the stuff (it quickly disolves) so I KNOW it's in there, it's just not as smokey smelling as I'd hoped (though, I realize that might not be everyone's cup of tea). The oil is as good as any other beard oil I've used. I don't have particular skin or hair conditions that I want to treat, I just like a little shine and scent and this stuff meets those criteria nicely. The bottle is plastic with a screw-top cap (also plastic) with a recessed dropper. The label is a shiny sticker which (if like other beard oils with shiny sticker labels) which will corrode if it gets oil on it and get flecks of colored sticker on your hands which are a pain to remove without washing the oil off your hands all together. The solution to this is to wash the bottle with soap and water along with your hands after you've applied the product, but I'd like to see a glass bottle with a matte finish sticker instead. At almost $5 an ounce it's not one of the more inexpensive options, but it's a niche product from a small company in a big market and is likely priced accordingly. I'll probably buy it again but will shop around in an attempt to find a better price per ounce. 3VERY LIGHT, BUT DOES MAKE A VISIBLE DIFFERENCE This stuff is so light, was not sure it was really doing anything, at first, but just noticed today that my beard, which is medium length, 2-3 inches, is laying flatter, has a little more shine and almost no stray hairs sticking-out, as opposed to the days when I don't use it. I also like the fact that it is about as all-natural as it gets and coupled with their Mountaineer Beard Shampoo, which is excellent by the way, as I noted in my review of that product, keeps my beard healthy and well-groomed. I gave it only 4 stars, as I was expecting something even a little heavier/more oily when I purchased it, which I think I would still prefer, if given the choice. 4A great beard oil with a fantastic scent I've been making the rounds on Amazon trying to find the right beard oils and balms for me. I had tried Mountaineer Original scent oil in the past and liked the conditioning I got on my beard. But the scent was not the type I like. This new Citrus & Spice though is right up my alley. I have been wanting a citrus based oil for a while and have tried others that were close but not exact. Ranging from lemon/lime based scents, pine/tree based to sweeter styled ones, they never quite had the complete feeling and scent I wanted. Mountaineer have done it with this one. So much so, that I ordered it with a subscription so that I am never out of it. I have also dealt with support staff for a return and they were fantastic! They took care of the issue right away and were very responsive to any questions. Thanks, Eric!! 5More Cedar than PineThis is a good oil and a little bit goes a long way. The price is good too as far as beard oils go. The scent doesn't last super long but that's normal for beard oils that don't contain alcohol. And you don't want it to contain alcohol. This is not a cologne so don't be tempted to use it as such. This is strictly for hydrating your beard. The scent is dominated by cedar more than fir needle. This Oil wasn't made for Beards, Beards were made for this Oil.I ordered a couple of other brands of Beard Oils along with the Mountaineer Brand and after trying each of them once, I left the others to be forgotten in the dark, dirty part under the sink. The only flaw with the Mountaineer Brand is mouth of the bottle. It's similar to squeezable salad dressing bottles but less farty. With this being a bottle of oil, it quickly gets messing on the inside of the cap and eventually the whole bottle is slick and sticky - albeit wonderfully scented. One of the others I had purchased had an unscrewable eyedropper for the lid eliminating any need to wash the bottle down after each use. This is something I hope the folks at Mountaineer will resolve soon because it is honestly the only drawback -though not a big enough deal for me to discontinue using their product. What it all boils down to: If you have a Beard, and you don't use Mountaineer Brand Natural Beard Oil..is it really a Beard at all?Give your Beard what it deserves.Overall:Outstanding Product, A Must-Have For Any Respectable Beard Owner.5/5 Bananas5
