Too smallThe string area is too small. Because it barely fits through your teeth, you will wind up bumping and scraping your gums to get where it needs to go. The first two tries were too painful. I wound up throwing out the entire package. It might work for baby teeth, but they are too small for adults to use without resulting in bleeding, damaged gums.1Doesn't really work for braces as they say, but a good quality flosser and pick for normal straight teeth. These are decent but far from the best, and work better if used without braces. I wore braces for close to 4 years, a hazard of waiting too long to get them. I used threaded floss and all kinds of picks including something like these, maybe a previous generation or maybe it's been around that long. What I know is this type may use the pick ends OK, but using the floss with braces just plain doesn't work, selling them on that feature is just fooling the public. They are better than the cheapies, and much better than those floss threaders, but there is a newer type I reviewed recently, and it would be the best for those with braces at least the metal wire kind, not the plastic overlays. I won't mention the brand here, but it comes with a small brush in the body and a flosser at the end. If you have braces forget about the flosser, but the brush is perfect for threading through between teeth, and the wires won't get in the way.This is still a good quality product, but I Recommend it for those with normal straight teeth and not those with braces. They are much less expensive per unit as the ones with the tiny integrated brush, so for regular flossing these are good. There are a lot of tools to use for flossing and I found this one to be the best. However, your brackets need to be far enough for this Placker to fit. I use the Placker in the areas where it fits. Where you can't get in with the Placker, use Superfloss, another useful product to have on hand. Anyways, if it's you're first time with braces, good luck!5Great product Great product 5To use it easily They get stuck it s hard to go inside braces. It pulled my wire I had to go to ortho to fix it. One more thing I had to worry about on top of my pain with braces. 1Excellent floss but useless pick. If the pick is important, look elsewhere. But the floss is uniquely strong and thin. The dental floss that is part of this floss-pick is excellent. Very thin (hence works well with braces) and very strong. I have similar floss picks from the drug store and this floss is half the thickness but stronger. Very impressive. I gave this floss-pick only four stars because the too pick part is much too soft to be of much use. I don't use the pick much, and so if you are like me, this is a worthy purchase just to get the thin floss. The floss is so thin it easily gets between my caps which are too close for most floss to penetrate. 4Good in theoryOnly worked on half of my sons teeth, some of his braces and wires prevented these flossers from working. No more need for floss threaders!5Doesn't fit between all brackets These made it much easier to floss with braces; however, there were certain areas that it would not fit between my brackets and I still had to use traditional floss for those spots. The first time I tried to floss with the stupid threaders they give you and regular floss it took me over 30 minutes, 3 threaders, and probably a half container of floss.. oh and a stretched out painful face. I just tried one of these for the first time and was able to floss MY ENTIRE MOUTH in 2 minutes. It fit under all of my wires and in between all of my teeth other than my bottom 4 that are extremely turned and crowded where the brackets are almost touching. EVERYONE WITH BRACES PLEASE BUY THESE5Very Rough on the Gumsive had braces for about 6 months now. These do get in between the teeth, not into tight spaces like the bottom front row, but the only thing is the floss itself is like a very rough thread that does not easily slide inbetween teeth. it scratches the living jeebees out of my gums. I bleed almost every time i use these and thats with being a regular flosser. wish the floss was more user friendly like the thin oral b glide floss, that would make this perfect3Just OKI find that these tend to get caught on the wire and I have to yank them out. The pick is way too flimsy and makes it hard to get out food that's really stuck.3New best friend. Makes flossing with braces SO much easier. 5
