I mixed a drop of eucalyptus with it, and it helped tone it down some. I think I was expecting more of a lavender smell, but I can't really pin point what this smells like. When you first open the bottle it doesn't smell that great, but I wanted to give it a chance in the diffuser. It smells way better in the diffuser than it does in the bottle. It is a more wattery than my other EO so it doesn't take much to dispense it. I would not say it has a very calming aroma. It is pleasing, but not very calming. It doesn't have the same effect as mixing lavander and vanilla EO. I am still expiramenting with different brands. I might buy from them again, but I will use this up and not buy it again. It doesn't do what I need it to. If you want something that smells nice for the room, this is good, but for therapeutic uses, I would look into good quality EOs and mix them yourself.3
